A den is a small group of Cub Scouts who are in the same grade. Dens typically range in size from 6 to 12 Cub Scouts. Dens usually meet twice per month throughout the program year. Once or twice per month, all dens will come together for pack meetings, activities or events.
Unless otherwise communicated, den meetings are held in the Ark Building at Jarrettown United Methodist Church at 1460 N. Limekiln Pike in Dresher.
Each den is led by an adult den leader who is almost always the parent of one of the Scouts in the den. Den meetings are scheduled, coordinated and led by the den leader. Often, the den leader will divide the responsibility of running den meetings between the parents in the den. Many dens will also have a small snack as part of the meeting.
Cub Scouting is a family activity. Siblings who are not Cub Scouts are more than welcome to come and participate where possible, and age/ability appropriate.
Important: A parent, guardian or responsible adult is required to be present at any meeting, activity, or event.
